September 2017

Wow, September has come and gone.  Such a great month.  Gorgeous weather - I've always thought Indiana's September weather is the absolute best.  Here are the highlights of our month.

Brennan and David went to Mississippi over Labor Day.
As always, it's great to see the family!  Here are Grandma Carolyn and Brennan.

Because of Thomas's work schedule, he and I stayed in town for the long weekend and he had a blast with friends in the evenings.  I got to attend wine club at John and Ginger's.  The theme was Greece and my headband worked perfectly.

Just perfect!

After a crazy work week and the Launch Kick-Off Party for the Philharmonic, I jumped in the car and headed to Louisville to meet our group seeing Ed Sheeran!  He was fantastic.  One of my all-time favorite concerts.

After what seems like a very long drought of family time, we spent an evening exploring downtown Columbus and all the temporary art installations.  Even Bailey got to go and enjoy the new Mexican restaurant downtown too.

Eos isn't temporary though - she's permanent, and my favorite.

"Anything Can Happen in the Woods" at the COB.

One of the "Columbus Circles" on Washington Street

Luciana's Restaurant

The 5 Chihuly's at the Visitors Center

Large Arch and First Christian Church

The Conversation Plinth

Before the Tony DeSare and Philharmonic Concert I toured the band members through downtown and we had a ball.

I got to attend the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra for the first time, they played along with "La La Land".  I went with friends from church and we had a ball!  They served truffles and champagne before the concert.  I mean, really!

The boys' 12th and 10th grade school pictures came in.  These "wallet size" photos are getting really huge!

Brennan and David spent time on Brennan's AP Physics cardboard boat for the boat race.

And our niece Natalie continues her pageant winning streak.  In addition to beautiful, she is bright, funny, and very sweet.

This is one of those things that slips through the cracks now that I am working.  Thomas spent his time with wonderful people job shadowing.  I would have encouraged him to dress up a little!  He shadowed two Marketing Directors.  Erin took this photo of him when they were out scouting sites.  I love it.

And Brennan during the boat race.  He did great and his boat held up through the entire obstacle course!

Brennan got a little wet so David got him a dry shirt - then, as it happened, he and his resource teacher Mr. Ho were twins on Homecoming's spirit week "Twins Day".  Perfect!

The Mill Race Marathon took place at the end of the month.  I again rode the half marathon as a volunteer.  It was an early morning, but it was a great race.

David and Brennan ran the 5K this year.  David came in 4th in his age group!

And while I'm bragging, let me just say that this kid made a 36 on the ACT!!!!
Unbelievable!!!  He got a letter from the ACT office saying that would prepare a press release for the newspaper.  We're so proud of him - and now he doesn't have to re-take it as a junior or senior since he got the max as a 10th grader!  Instead of going out to eat to celebrate, he asked to bring home a pizza.  #simpletastes

Sarah and I continued our Architecture and Asana outdoor yoga series this month.  Here are a few photos I took on the different days.  Such a great group and the weather has been perfect!  Here is "Wiikiaami".

Finally, David and I had a couple of date nights recently including the Philharmonic Cabaret concert with Santino Fontana (whom I loved in "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend").  We had a ball and got to meet him and pianist after the show.

Hope you're having a great fall!
